Sunbelt - The City
Sunbelt the City is a sprite-based, interactive city designed to showcase the breadth of sectors supported by Sunbelt Rentals and the extensive range of equipment they provide. With operations spanning everything from construction and utilities to film & TV production, live events, and beyond, Sunbelt faced the challenge of clearly communicating the full scope of their offering to clients. This project solved that by placing their equipment directly into context, allowing users to explore a living city where each district represents a different sector and its real-world applications.
I was responsible for designing and modelling each zone, ensuring that every area reflected the unique visual language and functional needs of its sector. Animated details, environmental storytelling, and interactive elements were woven throughout to bring the city to life, encouraging discovery while clearly demonstrating how Sunbelt’s equipment supports such a diverse range of industries.
Users could access detailed information about specific product lines through interactive modals, which featured product links, imagery, videos, and immersive 360 views of cabin interiors. The experience also included a night mode, transforming the city with illuminated details to showcase how Sunbelt’s equipment operates around the clock.
